Opening times

We are open Monday to Saturday 9:30 til 18:30.

We also open later on some evenings, based on demand/appointments - please see stylist availability via online booking, or call 0117 929 7881 to check.

We also have an ongoing apprentice training program that can be applied for, although this is currently filled (February 2026)

Location & parking

You'll find us in the very centre of Bristol, just up the road from Bristol Beacon.

We're easily accessible by bus, from the many stops on St Augustine's parade. There are bike racks all along the street too. On street parking is tricky, so we'd recommend Trenchard Street car park (closest) or College Street car park (cheapest) if you're driving.

Chloe Loveridge

I love to work with curls and natural texture, creating easy to maintain styles, underpinned by precision cutting. Colour is my other specialism, from soft, natural blondes to vivid brights.

My attention to detail comes from a background in art and design, previously working in costume for TV. 

I came to the salon as a client in about 2012, whilst on the lookout for a new career... and decided to ask Neil if he needed an assistant. He took me on, trained me, and after graduating my apprenticeship aged 30, I went to Vidal Sassoon in London for an intensive course in cutting. 

In 2024 I was proud to take on the management of the salon with my lovely long-term colleague Gemma. 

I continue to crave as much hair education as I can fit in around two children and a business!

Tansy Wilson

From a young age, I’ve been passionate about what can be achieved from hair styling and I love developing relationships.
Having started this new career path, whilst learning to be a new mum and learning to drive, hurdles haven’t stopped me and I’ll never forget the day Bangshanky changed my life for the better.

I started here as an apprentice and feel so proud to have graduated as a stylist here too, working amongst amazing people, in a beautifully unique environment. 
From when you book in with me, I’ll hear you, I’m open and honest with ideas and I very much look forward to making you feel fabulous! 
I currently offer a “recommend a friend” treat too, so please feel free to chat with me about this in your appointment!

Having made Bangshanky my home for the past 9 years, I pride myself in my attention to detail in all aspects of cutting hair. I enjoy the diversity in clients the shop brings me.

Gemma Powell

I specialise in creative colouring and cutting, from pastels and vivids to sun-kissed blondes and balayage. Whether it's short or shaggy styles, precision bobs, or long hair, my focus is to craft looks that are easy to maintain and reflect my clients’ personality.

2024 was a big year for us as we took on the management of Bangshanky. In a beautiful space we’ve grown to love with an incredible team of stylists beside us, I’m proud to have been a part of the Bangshanky team for the past 15 years.

I've been a hairstylist for 10 years, specializing in Asian hair textures and styles. 

I focus on creating natural looks that are easy for you to maintain and style in your daily lives. I offer precision cuts, colour, permanent wave, hair straightening, all designed to enhance your unique beauty and match your lifestyle.

I’m Dan, I’ve got 11 years experience in the hair industry and love working with people and collaborating on ideas to personalise their look. This starts with a good consultation, so all new colour clients, please call the salon to book a preliminary chat.

I work with hair in a gender neutral mindset and like to provide a safe space for everybody whoever you are. As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community I know how important it is to feel comfortable in a salon environment :)
